Grab and go

Top: H&M
Jeans: H&M
Wedge sneakers: Pull & Bear

There are those days when you wake up, look at the time and tell yourself you'll sleep for another 5 minutes, just 5 minutes you promise yourself. After what feels like 5 minutes to you, you wake up, look at your phone (Who looks at clocks nowadays?) and be startled that you've overslept. You take a speedy shower and grab anything comfy and just bolt out. Well this was one of those days, I grabbed the first cosy top I saw, a pair of jeans, and thought to wear my high top wedge sneakers to add a bit of something. I had my coral spike necklace hanging around my car so that was my accessory for the day. I know you guys have those days as well, who doesn't?

Glitter nails

I've been asked a lot about the ombré glitter nails I wore throughout the holiday season and I wanted to share how I did it with you :) I've been inspired with the holiday season's glitter craze and I once saw a picture of this design with red nail polish. I wanted something more light and less bold so I opted for a cream base instead.

Before anything, I always start with a base coat to strengthen and protect my nails from discoloration (You know how you get those icky yellow nails after removing your polish? This is one way to prevent that). After one coat of the base polish, I applied three coats of the cream colour, I got mine from RedEarth cosmetics. I did three coats because the colour was way too light and sheer and I wanted an opaque base. After allowing it to air dry, I moved onto the clear polish with silver glitter from Sinful Colors. I started to dab a few onto the bottom part of my nails. After dabbing, I lightly drag the brush upwards, making sure that most of them are still on the bottom and only a few are dragged above. I apply another coat of the glitter polish still making sure that it mainly stays on the bottom, then I scrape off the remaining polish on the bottle and drag from bottom upwards. You can even apply a few more glitter above if needed, this really depends on you. I decided not to add a clear top coat because the glitter polish is enough, but you can go ahead if you want to. You can experiment with this and maybe try to do it upside down, heavy glitter on top and gradually fading below, or you can also cover your ring finger with full glitter for a more "off-the-moment" look :) Enjoy!

Radiant Reflections

Hat: Topshop
Tank top: H&M
Vintage Floral Skirt: Bambah Boutique
Boots: Forever21

Another year has passed. As I get older, the more it seems to me that the days are just going by so quickly. Is it just me or are we secretly being robbed of a few minutes every year? But on a more serious note, the past year has been a mix of blissful moments and struggles, all of which marked me with lessons. Lessons I am eagerly wanting to implement in my life this year. I don't want this to be another "Oh this year is going to be my year" "This year, I'll do this and that", instead I want to put those thoughts and reflections into acts. Acts that will help me reach my dreams. So, with that said, I wish you be granted the will to pursue your dreams, your happiness. God has granted me with a lot of tools to do mine, there may be a lot of obstacles, but I know He has great plans! Let's face this year with optimism and welcome anything that comes our way with a big smile! :)

PS This skirt is my favourite clothing item right now! I got it from Bambah, a lovely vintage boutique located at Jumeirah Beach Road. You should go and visit, you won't regret it. They have amazing pieces and the good part is, you won't find someone who owns the same piece as you do, Bonus! ;)

Just Breathe

Winter is slowly coming to us now, and this type of mid-season weather is just perfect for those relaxing beach days and walk around the park. Where I live, we don't experience Fall or Spring, it's either summer (extreme summer that is) or winter. I'm excited to start bringing out my boots and cozy jumpers but before the summer season ends, allow me to indulge in my shorts and cut-out tank tops. I'm loving my DIY cut-out tank with a trippy ribcage print at the front. I bought this on my last trip to the Philippines and actually got it from the men's section, it was a bit loose so I decided to cut the armhole even more for a cool beach cover-up. The shorts from New Look, was a gift from a good friend of mine and they matched perfectly with the tank-top's colours. I finished my look with my trusty Vans sneakers and my fave leopard Vans cap.

Are you guys excited about the upcoming winter? Or are you secretly hoping it won't come so you can show  a little peek of your toned body? ;)

Striped florals

I'm more of a jeans, loose-tee and sneakers kind of girl and this day was one of those where you just want to get ready and head out of the door instead of making three or more outfit changes and poses by your mirror.

Since I'm always after the comfort factor and opt for basic silhouettes, I try to incorporate some fun prints into my everyday looks. So I combined this loose stripe tee with my fave floral vans sneakers. Comfy top, check, fitted yet super cosy jeans, check, fun kicks, check! Okay grab some breakfast and out of the door! (I would never forget food, it's that important to me)
